The First Month of School
There's a very good reason why this post took so long to put up. I had so many pictures and my class is so stinking' CUTE!!! In the beginning, we spent most of our time "learning the ropes" of school.
Here we're learning the myriad of rules we have at school, like walking in the hallway with a fish tail behind our backs and bubble in our mouths. We also practiced raising our hand a LOT!We also learned the Read-to-Self choice in Daily 5! Here's a few friends reading the pictures in their books.
We're learning to work together and we're making friends.
And I know this may be a shocker....But WE LOVE TO PLAY IN FREE CENTERS!!!!
And when we thought that kindergarten could not be more fun, there was....
Apple Day! Oh the joy, oh the yumminess, oh the BEDLAM! But we had FUN! We made applesauce and got to taste it. I think Anaiyah is thinking to herself..."WOW! This is really good stuff! I wish there were more!" Tamia couldn't agree more.
But we couldn't just stop at applesauce. No way! We had apples for dipping! We had ourselves a little taste test. The cream cheese fruit dip was by far the most popular. But we liked chocolate too. Can't you tell?
And as if we weren't having enough fun...we PAINTED! You must paint in kindergarten. It's the RULES!!
