100 Days Smarter!

No sooner had we gobbled down our groundhog snacks, it was the 100th Day of School!  We dressed up like we were 100 years old, made our 100th Day hats out of 10 full ten frames, created 100th Day Snacks with 10 pieces of 10 different snack items, AND created 100th Day projects with our friends and some of our Moms!  Whew!  It was a hectic...but HAPPY HUNDREDTH DAY!!!

A Little Old Zoe
WOW! What a Snack!

The Hundred Day Smarties

This is Remy. Xzavier's little sister,
whom our class has adopted as our own.

Theirs is a fishbowl with 100 fish!
They're making a cupcake with 100 sprinkles.

Their's is a gumball machine with 100 gumballs.

They're making a 100-eyed monster!

Now THAT'S a Happy Kid!

Winter Has Come & Gone!

The winter months have whizzed by... but not without wonderful kindergarten memories of learning and fun!   Here is a picture of the snowman we made in January during our study of the states of matter.  We observed him when he was a solid...

then a liquid...then he evaporated into the air and became a gas leaving nothing behind but his felt scarf, eyes, and nose!

When we read the book, Ice Bear, we learned a lot about polar bears.    So we wrote about what we had learned.  When we read The Emperor's Egg, we learned a great deal about Emperor Penguins and how they care for their chicks.

Before we knew it, it was time to check out the groundhog's prediction.  We predicted that he wouldn't see his shadow and we
would have an early spring.  And we were right!
We were so excited, we just had to celebrate!  So we made groundhog snacks and ate them!
YUM!!!
